Charles Jordan Samuels

Mr. Samuels represented me in a Fairfax County Class 4 misdemeanor case. He was on my legal insurance carrier’s approved attorney list for Fairfax County criminal law matters and was my first choice because criminal law dominates his long practice. Prior to the court appearance, Mr. Samuels conferred... with the Commonwealth’s Attorney and the arresting officer with the outcome that the Commonwealth’s Attorney entered a motion for “nolle prosequi” which means the Commonwealth's Attorney declined to proceed with prosecution of the case, so there is no conviction, no sentence, no fine and no court fees. I watched a dozen similar cases come before the court that morning--unrepresented defendants in uncomplicated cases generally achieved at most only a reduction in the more-or-less standard fine for the offense…and their convictions will stay on the public record. Without Mr. Samuels's experience and credibility within the Fairfax County justice system working on my side, it would be difficult to believe that the outcome would have been this favorable. I hold Mr. Samuels in the highest regard for the way that he handled this case.

I learned of Mr. Samuels from a co-worker, who'd found him on Yelp. I contacted him within a week of getting a reckless driving - speeding ticket, for several mph past 20 over the limit. Mr. Samuels asked all the questions of me that I thought he should ask, and agreed to represent me at the conclu...sion of our first phone conversation. He also had no issue with my setting up a meeting to see him in his office (near the courthouse). I went to a speedometer calibration shop that he recommended, which had a positive result, and was able to give him my speeding ticket and the results of the calibration at our meeting, which was also helpful: he was able to get my charge reduced to speeding, 74/55, with a low fine. He also let me know that I wouldn't have to go to court for my case, which was itself a relief, and we were able to quickly reach an agreement to over the phone on court day as to how I would be pleading. He also gave advice on what to do w/respect to driver improvement training that would increase my number of positive driver points. I was also happy with Mr. Samuels fee, given how much worse it would've been to have the reckless charge stick, and pay the increased fine and insurance premium increases. So, I'd recommend Mr. Samuels to anyone, and, if I happened to get into trouble again for the same problem, or something more serious in FF county, Mr. Samuels is the first person I'd consider.

Mr. Samuels was very professional, honest, and showed a high intelligence and dedication to my case the whole time through. I faced a potential DUI conviction and Mr. Samuels got the case thrown out. He is very keen in paying attention to detail and it was this, added with productive conversations wi...th myself that helped him gather enough information to eventually present holes in the case that led to me being set free. He handles himself in a first class manor and I am grateful that I ended up having him represent me.
