Biography
Steven W. Rakow is a seasoned attorney with a diverse background in criminal trial and civil litigation. His criminal law practice covers a wide range of cases, from minor traffic offenses and DUIs to serious felonies such as murder and white-collar crimes. In civil litigation, he handles matters including contract disputes and construction defects. Steve's formidable experience also includes corporate law and contract review. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in 1987, he served as a Marine officer for 20 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He obtained his law degree from Chase College of Law in 1996 and practiced in Ohio before moving to Maryland in 2000. Committed to community service, Steve has served as president of the Worcester County Bar Association and volunteers with mock trial competitions. He is an active member of several legal organizations, including the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and was appointed by the governor to the Board of Trustees for the Office of the Public Defender.

The Best Decision
