Steve graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1987 and served for 20 years as a Marine Officer (5 active/15 reserve) including leading a platoon of Marines during combat operations in Kuwait.
Steve left active duty and went to law school, graduating from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1996.
