Andrew Melchior Macdonald

Mr Macdonald represented me on a charge related to a weapon discovered during a routine traffic stop. Being from a different state I was not aware of Maryland law in this matter and was very suprised by the potential penalty. His knowledge and professionalism served me well. All of my dealings with... him were to the point and he took the time to fully answer my questions and explained what I might expect. While I would hope to not have a reason to use his services in the future I would not hesitate to contact him if the need arises. I would strongly recommend him to anyone in a similar situation.

Our family was in need of a lawyer in Salisbury Maryland. Not being from that area made it a little difficult to decide who to choose. I knew we did not want a large firm that would pass our case down to a young inexperienced lawyer. We knew we didn't want a lawyer in some satellite office from a Bal...timore law firm. We wanted someone who lived in Salisbury and knew the court system well in Salisbury. We felt he was a good choice because he had also been a public defender at one time and knew both sides of the court room well. We initially contacted him on a Saturday and he took our call and also followed up with us again on Sunday. He met with us when it really was not necessary, but more for the relief of some of our own anxiety. He is professional, smart, straight forward and very knowledgable. He told us what he felt the outcome would be and was absolutely correct in his prediction. He did an excellent job representing us in the court room that day. You can tell he is very well respected in the Salisbury court system and seems to know all of the players well. If we had to do it all over, we definitely would use Mr McDonald again. He was an excellent choice!!!

Young adults/teens sometimes get into trouble. It's a fact of life. Parents hope it's not too bad, and that common sense prevails and the criminal justice system proceeds as it should with fairness and integrity. BUT, it never hurts to make sure you have an advocate especially in non-violent cases... that shouldn't impact you for the rest of your life. Mr. MacDonald did a fantastic job making sure that the justice system worked as it should. Punished fairly, disposed appropriately, and focused on making everyone whole without overburdening any of the parties concerned. We couldn't have been happier with the work Mr. MacDonald did for our family. He laid out the possible scenarios, told us what he was going to try to do with no sugar coating, and then promptly over-delivered. We are somewhat knowledgable about the criminal justice system having worked in a number of factions within it. Mr. MacDonald focused on the most appropriate scenario for everyone regarding the disposition of our case and made it happen. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr. MacDonald for anyone who is serious about having the justice system work the way it should!

I was a bit disappointed that Mr. Macdonald did not contact me or my daughter (who he was hired to represent a month ahead of the court date). He did finally call me the day before we were to meet him at the court house. This may have been because it was simple case but without contact it tends to ...wear on your nerves (will he show or won't he). He did and handled the case before the court expertly. He seems to have a good relationship with the court and was able to predict what the court would do with good accuracy. Couldn't have had a better outcome. Honestly, I was expecting a lot worse. Would definitely recommend and use again.
