Avoid at all costs

I retained Ms. Wieseman in late August 2025 for family law representation. I was forced to terminate her services one month later due to serious professional failures. Failure to Review Critical Documents: I provided essential case documents containing critical background information for my sensi...tive family law matter. A week after submitting these materials, Ms. Wieseman admitted she had not read them. In a complex family law case, an attorney's failure to review client-provided materials is inexcusable and potentially harmful to the client's legal position. Poor Communication: Ms. Wieseman consistently interrupted and talked over me during consultations, preventing me from fully explaining important case details. Effective representation requires listening to clients—this basic professional courtesy was absent throughout our relationship. Lack of Preparation: She appeared unprepared for meetings and unfamiliar with my case specifics despite having detailed documentation. Outcome: After one month with no meaningful progress, I terminated representation on September 30, 2025. I have filed a formal complaint with the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission. Warning: Family law matters require attorneys who actually read case materials, listen to clients, and prepare adequately. My experience fell short in all areas. I strongly encourage potential clients to ask pointed questions about case management and communication before hiring. I cannot recommend Ms. Wieseman's services and am now working with different counsel.

Not a nice person

She took my case through MVLS. I was very excited to have someone represent me in a custody case for my grandchildren. They've been abused for quite a long time now. They lived with me for 11 years up until 4 years ago. They have been through so much and so have I because of their parents and their g...randfather. After being told that she was going to take my case it was about a week or so that we spoke on the phone today she started to ask me a couple questions and then wouldn't let me explain anything at all. It was the craziness !! I don't think we were even on the phone for 5 minutes and then she cut me off from talking and said she would have to talk to MVLS about it. I asked her why she really didn't want to give me a straight answer but then told me she didn't think she was going to take this case. After already accepting the case and then not even listening and hearing anything that I had to say. This is a very very sad situation! She really should be sued because of this and when it all comes out about what's going on with my poor grandchildren and I I'm probably going to do that!! I asked whoever is reading this to please pray for us. Thank you and God bless you

Very unprofessional

I was contacted by Ms. Wieseman and she was rude during the call. She asked me like 10 questions, very incoherent, didn’t get me a chance to answer her questions. The questions she asked were all over the place. She asked me who served me with paperwork, I said the Frederick Constable. She yelled and... told me it was the Sheriff. I told he wasn’t a Sheriff Officer it was a Constable. She then told me I don’t know what I am talking about. I need to read the paperwork. Then yelled some more, don’t know what she was saying. Then finally hung up the call.
