Knowledgeable, Aggressive, Professional, Attending who gets you the expected results and beyond
I am very pleased with the Work, Service, Professionalism and Outcome of Mr. Matthew Engler's representation regarding my work compensation case, The end results were very satisfying. I would highly recommend Mr. Engler as an Attorney of choice and use his expertise as needed.
Matt lives in Frederick, Maryland with his wife, two children, and dog. Other than being a father, husband, and lawyer, he greatly enjoys hiking and being outdoors. As a former state prosecutor and volunteer firefighter, he understands the selfless dedication that our public safety officers deliver on a daily basis and strives to deliver this same level of commitment to his clients.
Professional Experience Matthew graduated from Georgetown University and The George Washington University Law School. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable David Boynton in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County. From there, he joined The State’s Attorney’s Office for Frederick County as an Assistant State’s Attorney, where he investigated and prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases.
In 2015, Matthew was hired as an associate attorney with Berman, Sobin & Gross. Since then, he has represented more than a thousand clients in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. Additionally, he has successfully argued several cases in the Maryland appellate courts winning victories for injured workers across the State. In 2021, he was honored with The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 recognition.
In January 2022, Matthew became a Partner with the Firm.

Excellent personable lawyer who takes care of me
Matt has been looking after me for my Workman's Comp Case. Matt is a very experienced and excellent lawyer who knows the process well. I started off with no attorney until someone referred me to his company. I had no idea of all the things that I should have been aware of. You definitely need a lawyer in Workman's Comp to protect YOU. I can ask Matt any question and he responds quickly and puts my concerns at ease. He is extremely personable and he actually cares about his clients. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Matt to anyone who needed help. I didn't know how much I needed a lawyer but very grateful to him. Thank you.

My lawyer kept in clear contact with me and kept me updated at all times with any changes and always answer questions in a timely manner. He was kind and polite even on my stressful days made sure I was calm and intrusted him. He was the best of the best as far as calm safe reassuring of a nervous person. The day of court I felt sick, he was my hero!

Knows his business and he cares!!
I can say that I am extremely impressed with Mr. Engler's knowledge of workers compensation law and his efforts to make sure that my rights are protected and I am fully compensated for my injuries. He has served as intermediary between me and my employer's worker's compensation managers, and he has vigorously pursued coverage for all of the costs of my medical treatment as well as payment of my wages while I have been unable to work. I have complete trust in his abilities to represent me in this case, and I would recommend him to others without reservation.

Efficient & Effective Professional Lawyer Dedicated to Helping Victims Get Legal Justice
Assistant State's Attorney Matthew Engler is a serious yet empathetic lawyer who can isn't afraid to handle the trickiest of cases. He effectively handled my case despite major time constraints. He is dedicated to his profession and he is not afraid of doing boring research to stay abreast of new State laws. Having gone through the legal system my recommendation to others seeking help from the State's Attorney is to be fully honest, to be patient and to trust that Attorney Engler will do his best to get you justice within the confines of law. The 3/5 stars I gave to Attorney Engler for trust has nothing to do with him, but simply with the fact that it has been very hard for me to trust anyone after having been victimized by someone I loved. I do wish the State's Attorney's office was bit more communicative than it had been but that is understandable as they are flooded with millions of other cases. If you are totally clueless about the legal system as I was then I highly recommend requesting an advocate from Maryland Crime Victims’ Resource Center (MCVRC) http://www.mdcrimevictims.org/ to help you understand things better which will go a long way in reducing your case related anxiety. Good luck and May truth prevail and justice be served.

As a former prosecutor, he's capable of doing so, and is well-respected in the courtroom, by both fellow counsel and judges alike. As a man, he is honorable and trustworthy and i could not endorse him more wholeheartedly!"
