Frank R Goldstein

Over a career that spans more than four decades, Frank R. Goldstein has distinguished himself as a preeminent authority in corporate law. Before establishing his own firm, Mr. Goldstein served in leadership positions in several national and international law firms. He was a partner at the Washington, D.C. office of Sidley Austin LLP and a founding partner of the Washington, D.C. office of Piper & Marbury (now DLA Piper). Today, the Frederick-based Law Office of Frank R. Goldstein LLC maintains a national practice, representing businesses throughout the United States and across Maryland. Mr. Goldstein also serves as a mediator and an expert witness in business disputes.

Mr. Goldstein chaired a committee that drafted portions of Maryland's Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) statute. Moreover, he chaired or served on committees that drafted Maryland's Limited Partnership and Limited Liability Company statutes. He also founded and chairs the Business Law Section of the Bar Association of Frederick County. He has served on the Maryland State Bar Association's Business Law Section Council. His placements in these leadership positions reflect the depth of his experience and knowledge and the respect and esteem of other lawyers.

He has been quoted in numerous national publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Businessweek. He has also appeared on CNN and testified before the U.S. Congress as an authority on corporate matters. He is known by his peers for his extensive knowledge and experience in corporate finance, Maryland real estate investment trusts and all aspects of business law.

Mr. Goldstein has also taught securities regulation in an adjunct capacity for the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. He has also served on the Board of Visitors for this institution.
