Born and raised in Annapolis, Sarah graduated from Broadneck High School. She began her college education at the University of Delaware, transferring to the University of Maryland at College Park where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While in college, she was the President of College Republicans, served on the Traditions Committee for SGA, and did the first Terp Thon. She also interned for Bob Ehrlich’s 2010 campaign, worked for the RNC as a political and finance intern, and worked for Senator JB Jennings at the Maryland General Assembly.
Ms. Brown attended law school at the American University Washington College of Law, where she was involved in a number of activities. She worked for the Republican National Committee, served as Women’s Law Association President, Producer of the Law Revue, was the Note and Comment Editor on the administrative law review (ALR), and served as the 2015 Barrister’s Ball Chair. While on ALR staff, she started an online presence/ publication called ALR Accord and a discussion series, ALR According To, which is a recorded interview with one of the authors in each book discussing questions that arose from their pieces.
One of the highlights of her college career was teaching Constitutional law at Washington, DC public schools 3 days a week through the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program. This involved teaching her own class, creating the curriculum and teaching the students how to do moot court to prepare them for city-wide competition.
Ms. Brown interned for the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr. at the Maryland Court of Appeals, as well as at the Federal Communications Commission during law school. She later clerked for Senator Robert Cassilly with the Maryland General Assembly.
After graduating from law school she began her clerkship with the Honorable Cathleen M. Vitale at the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.
Ms. Brown currently resides in Annapolis and is an active member of the local community. She is a member of The Young Patrons of Maryland Hall, RWAAC and GiGi’s Playhouse of Annapolis, where she previous served as co-chair for their start-up committee.
