The focus of Ladik Law LLC is to represent the interests of mine operators, independent contractors, and trade associations. This includes contesting enforcement actions such as citations, orders, and penalty assessments. To this end, I provide legal representation before the FMSHRC, MSHA, and the Office of the Solicitor at the US Department of Labor.

Regulatory advocacy is also a strong component of my practice. Mining industry rulemaking and regulatory matters are handled during notice and comment periods, as well as post-issuance Petitions for Modification. Data quality, cost-benefit, and procedural analyses are used to elevate an issue from the bureaucrat level to the political.

Crisis management and public relations services are also provided to enhance media accuracy, maintain a positive portrayal of your organization in a hostile political and media climate, and manage proactive responses to accident investigations.
