My divorce after 22 years of marriage was a difficult one. Jeff worked with me from November 2020 until my divorce in February 2022. Like anyone else going through a divorce and child custody, it can be an extremely emotional and a most confusing time. My situation made it even more complicated as I left Maryland and located to a state on the west coast but needed an attorney in Maryland to handle my case due to the fact that the... case was opened in Maryland. I had left my abusive marriage and was navigating my emotions and the legal system while at the same time finding an attorney who could help. It was a daunting task but I will be forever grateful I came across Jeff and choose him to represent me. Jeff listened to the facts of my case and was empathic to what I expressed during the process of my divorce. Jeff got back to me, if not the same day, certainly in an acceptable time frame and answered any questions or concerns I had in my case. Even with the time difference between the states, Jeff was always available for me and any emails I sent he always answered back quickly and sufficiently. Although calls were few, any time I did call I felt seen and heard, and that my concerns where important to him. Jeff made sure I understood the legal system in simpler terms to make it easier for me to make the best decisions for me while going for sole custody of my child. Jeff helped me navigate and understand, the best one can, in the steps within the legal system that can be confusing and overwhelming. It has been 9 months since I won sole custody of my son, but kept Jeff as my attorney during this time for any last attempts by my ex-husband in any legal attempt to overturn the results, and I am grateful I did. Even after divorce, the few times within those months that I had to contact Jeff, he was fair in the fees he charged me. I never have once felt he dragged out the case but rather allowed me to keep him until I felt it was safe to move on. I have now registered the case in the state in which I reside so therefore have to end the professional relationship with Jeff as my divorce/child custody attorney. (Even knowing I could register my case, after the judgement, to my state in which I reside was a huge benefit for me that Jeff guided me through.) I can't express my gratitude for the assistance Jeff gave me these past few years. Along with the positive results in my case, he helped empower me to speak up and to feel valued and heard. From start to finish, Jeff was a consummate professional. His game planning and subsequent execution was tailored towards my situation which allowed my focus to be dedicated to other things during this process.
