I am a native of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and have focused my legal profession in the area of family law. After law school, I began working with law firms as an associate attorney focusing mainly on family law cases. I have successfully negotiated and resolved numerous divorce and custody cases, and I have tried numerous contested divorce cases and contested custody cases across the State of Maryland, with my primary practice in Anne Arundel County. Not only have I represented parties in divorce and custody actions, I have also been appointed by the Court as a best interests attorney for children. Additionally, I volunteer some of my time at the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County as a facilitator to help mediate cases at Scheduling Conferences.
In recognition of my standing in the legal community, I have been designated as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Baltimore magazines for the past three years.
In regards to my education, I received my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2003. During law school, I served as an Affiliate Editor of Margins Law Journal and served as a summer judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Philip T. Caroom, in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. I received my undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland located in College Park in the year 2000. I was a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Doesn't know MD Law
Consulted with Ms. Bayne on a divorce matter. She stated that since we did not live together in Maryland, we had to file in Pennsylvania where we did live together. Called Pennsylvania lawyers and they all said she doesn't know what she's talking about -- you have to file in the state in which you ...
If husband lives in Maryland and wife lives in Pennsylvania a divorce action can be filed in either Maryland or Pennsylvania provided that the length of residence requirement has been met. However, if wife has no contacts with Maryland, and all of the marital property is physically located in Pennsylvania, the only relief that the Maryland court can grant is the divorce. The Maryland Court is not able to deal with any marital property issues. Additionally, if the parties have children together and they reside in Pennsylvania and have resided in Pennsylvania for more than 6 months prior to the filing of the divorce, Maryland Courts also do not have jurisdiction to consider custody, visitation, or child support issues. Therefore, the issue of where to file is much more complicated then it is portrayed in the above comment. Based on the information received from a client, I try to refer them on the best course of action. It typically does not make sense to be litigating custody in one state and the divorce in another. Furthermore, if there is a pending custody action in Pennsylvania and husband files in Maryland, wife may file a motion to dismiss and/or transfer in Maryland to have all actions heard in Pennsylvania, which will only increase attorney's fees in both cases.

Absolutely an incredible attorney!
Christina Bayne has always made sure that she worked toward the best interest of myself and my children. I felt as though she would put herself in my shoes and give advice based on her experience with the law and court proceedings. Many situations came up that required legal advice and she was alwa...
"Christina is an excellent lawyer and very knowledgeable in the area of divorce, child custody and other family law matters. I refer all of my clients to her for assistance with their family law needs as I know she will provide them with the very best legal representation."
"I endorse this lawyer. She is very well prepared, compassionate, and respected in the legal community. Christina has great people skills, and works well with other lawyers even in difficult situations. She is very knowledgeable about divorce, custody and all issues that families deal with in their most difficult times."
"Christina Bayne is the real deal. She is smart as a whip, well prepared, a pleasure to work with or against, has the respect of the judges and represents her clients zealously. I fully expect Christina to be called " Your Honor" some day in the future. For now, however, one need look no further for a lawyer other than Christina. I have been practicing many decades and she recently whipped my butt in a highly complicated and fiercely contested matter, but did so with the highest degree of professionalism. Lawyers on the other side of cases from Christina had better bring their "A" game or they will have very disappointed clients. she represents the best of the Bar."
"Christina is an excellent attorney. I have had several cases against her and in each case she represented her client in an aggressive and highly competent manner. I would recommend her to any person searching for an attorney."
"Christina and I have been opposing counsel on a number of cases. In each, I know I can expect her to be a competent and well-prepared advocate for her clients."
"Christina and I were opposing counsel in a divorce case. She is easy to work with and very knowledgeable in family law matters."
"Christina is always well prepared and very knowledgeable about the law. She is a true advocate for her clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. She works hard for her clients but is respectful and courteous to opposing counsel. I have worked with Ms. Bayne as opposing counsel on many cases and she is an excellent attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ms. Bayne is a well respected lawyer in the community. She is very knowledgeable in all areas of family and domestic practice."
