Workers’ Compensation Experience

Dayna Kipnis, Esq. is an experienced workers’ compensation attorney. Dayna spent 10 years on the defense side of workers’ compensation, first at the well known comp defense firm Semmes Bowen & Semmes, then for years as Baltimore County’s in-house workers’ compensation defense lawyer.  

Semmes and Baltimore County

As an attorney with Semmes and Baltimore County, Dayna became intimately familiar with the strategies and tactics used against injured workers.  She learned which doctors tend to favor insurance companies and which don’t.  She learned how investigation and medical records can be used against the injured worker.  She also learned how good workers’ compensation lawyers in Baltimore County and the surrounding areas maximize the value of their clients’ cases.

Baltimore City Workers’ Compensation Firm Experience

Dayna took all that she learned in her decade in workers’ comp and applied it to helping claimants when she joined a small Baltimore City firm in 2012.  She learned what it was like to represent real people as they struggle to make ends meet after an injury.

Dayna lives with her family in Owings Mills. 

Personal Injury Experience

In addition to handling claimant workers’ compensation cases, Dayna developed experience in personal injury cases in her time in Baltimore.  These included car accidents and premises liability cases.  Car or motor vehicle accidents are relatively self explanatory.  Premises liability cases are when you get hurt on someone else’s property and they are liable.
