Carla Daniela Poole

Carla Magnaye Poole was born in the Philippines and moved to Montgomery County, MD with her family at a young age. She has since lived in the DC-Baltimore Metropolitan area and now calls Annapolis home. While she is new to the legal industry, she has more than 13 years of professional experience serving the community and working with clients in government, non-profit, non-governmental, and private sectors.

Ms. Poole prides herself in upholding integrity, honesty, and transparency in both personal and professional settings. Her clients can attest to her ability to work efficiently and collaboratively with them to resolve their issues. There is no challenge too great and no issue too small for Ms. Poole to handle.

Ms. Poole attended the University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration in family law, while working a full-time job and raising young children, and graduated cum laude in 2019. While in law school, Ms. Poole was involved with Parents in Law School and participated in the Mediation Clinic for Families, representing pro se clients in custody disputes and reaching favorable outcomes for her clients. Ms. Poole received the top scores in all her family law classes.

Ms. Poole served as a judicial law clerk in Caroline County, Maryland, starting her clerkship while still in her final semester of law school in January 2019. She completed her clerkship in August 2020, right before joining Hillman, Brown, and Darrow, P.A. as an Associate.

Ms. Poole primarily handles family law, including domestic violence cases, and estate planning. She represents clients in Anne Arundel County, Queen Anne's County, Caroline County, Talbot County, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Howard County, and Calvert County. She is a certified mediator and can conduct private mediations, on request. Ms. Poole assists, on a pro-bono basis, local non-profits in getting their organizations up and running.

Outside of work, Ms. Poole has coached soccer for six years for the U4-U10 age groups. She recently completed a term as the president of Annapolis Soccer Club, actively supports various non-profits in Anne Arundel County in a volunteer capacity, serves as a member on the ABA Disaster Relief Committee, and is on the roster to provide pro bono legal services through the ABA/FEMA Disater Legal Aid Program.
