Genuine Care

Upon the recommendation of a few acquaintances, I contacted Mr. Neary to get advice with regard to a property suit in Baltimore County that originally went back about ten years. I was pleasantly surprised and gratified when he promptly responded--in spite of many other demands on his time, having al...ready researched the issue--to ask follow-up questions and to get a look at the documentation I had. First, he offered reassurances that it appeared the position I was taking was the appropriate one. Then he proceeded to make contact with the opposing counsel to make them aware of certain circumstances they apparently had not considered in taking up the lawsuit. When I heard from him again, it was to confirm that the plaintiff was pursuing me in error and that I should expect communication from the plaintiff's counsel that the lawsuit against me would be dropped. Because I never heard from the plaintiff's counsel, I appeared in court as assigned. No one from the plaintiff's side was present, and the case was dismissed. Thanks to Mr. Neary's willingness to make a phone call or two based on my initial communication, I was never embroiled in another costly legal battle, and he didn't even charge for the calls. God bless him!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
