Jeffrey Lewis Kaplan

Mr. Kaplan graduated in the top 10% of his graduating class at Towson University with a Bachelors in Accounting. After a brief stint in the Accounting World, Mr. Kaplan decided that he could better help people as an attorney. Mr. Kaplan attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he earned his JD Degree, graduating with honors, with concentrations in Criminal Law, Litigation & Advocacy and General Practice Law. While at the University of Baltimore, Mr. Kaplan was also a member of the Stephen L. Snyder Center for Litigation Skills, a prestigious honor given to only a select few.

Prior to forming his own legal practice, Mr. Kaplan has gained experience in numerous different fields and locations. Mr. Kaplan began working as a student attorney with the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's Office, handling all criminal matters that were brought in District Court. Mr. Kaplan has also worked with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Criminal Investigations Division, where he worked hand in hand with the Legal and Forensic Accounting Team on a high profile money laundering scandal, among other white collar crimes. Lastly, Mr. Kaplan has worked with the Baltimore County Public Defender's Office, gaining experience in many criminal areas, ranging from possession with the intent to distribute narcotics all the way up to felony murder.

Mr. Kaplan uses his business and accounting background in conjunction with his legal degree to better help clients who need help with drafting wills, deeds, administering estates, reviewing contracts and any other legal documents.

Most people think attorneys choose their profession for the money. While earning a good living is important to Mr. Kaplan, the real attraction to becoming an attorney and opening his own firm was that he could help people. Mr. Kaplan is passionate about his work and extremely empathetic towards his clients. Mr. Kaplan makes his client's pain his own, and he fights for each of them as if his own life was on the line. Mr. Kaplan is blunt, honest and direct, but he will never lie to you and he will always be on your side.
