Anthony J. De Laurentis

Degrees in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and Law from Georgetown University, coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and a number of varied business interests have shaped Anthony De Laurentis' professional career.  He has successfully represented large and small corporations, law firms, and individuals in intellectual property matters for more than forty years. During that time, he has performed thousands of patent novelty and infringement searches, and has prosecuted hundreds of patent and trademark applications. Anthony has been registered to practice in the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Attorney since 1969.

Anthony has been representing financial institutions and small partnerships in real property disputes and foreclosures since 1986, litigating hundreds of matters in local and Federal Courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia. A well-known expert in property law, he has presented testimony in the Maryland General Assembly during revisions of the Tax-Property Article. Most recently he participated on the committee drafting amendments to the Tax-Property Article, amendments passed by the Maryland Legislature during the 2008 session.

Anthony brings a unique perspective to business matters, a perspective gained from years of hands-on experience as a real estate developer and investor. Over the course of his career, he developed several parcels of vacant land, joint ventured the construction and sale of over 30 new homes, and participated as a principal in several companies that purchase and rehabilitate distressed properties, properties which are rented or sold to the public.
