Susan is a lifesaver!

I needed guidance regarding an ethical dilemma with a personal industry lawyer I was working with ( basically unnecessarily extending a lawsuit by 3 years, double charging, holding settlement funds over lawful time period, the list goes on) . Unsure of the process or even the right type of law...yer I needed to help me. I reached out to Susan for a consultation. To my surprise, Susan offered invaluable advice on my next steps and even helped me craft the complaint and send me the proper contact information to file the complaint with – all completely free of charge! I was blown away with her generosity. She understood my frustrations and really wanted to help me and not seeing anyone else to go through this. Susan's professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to go the extra mile truly impressed me. If you're ever in need of legal guidance or just some sound advice, I highly recommend contacting Susan. She is rare!

Phenomenal Attorney

Susan has represented me on several cases, with successful and financially beneficial outcomes, each time. I first retained her to help with a debt collections case which she resolved quickly and efficiently. I was so pleased with her work and the resulting outcome, I retained her for a contract ren...egotiation with a credit card company, as well as another collections case. Again, these were all resolved in an expedient and professional manner. She was detail oriented, organized, and followed up with me on a regular basis. The bottom line is that she had the tenacity, the dedication, and the compassion to not only resolve my cases for me, but also made me feel like I was given her specialized individual undivided attention. I felt like she really cared about what was happening to ME and that she would do whatever she could do to help ME. I highly recommend her!

Inexperienced and Incompetent

This "lawyer" was horrible. Her selling point was that since she had previously worked as an insurance adjuster, that she had the insight needed to win cases. WRONG!!!! The first sign of her incompetence was when she sent me information about my case with the wrong date of incident along with a pleth...ora of typos; she had the month correct, but the day and year were way off. I excused her behavior because I thought everybody makes mistakes, but her mistakes continued throughout my case. She did not care about me or my time and seemed uninformed and frankly intimidated by the other attorney. She acted very unprofessional towards her and stated to me that she could not stand her. They both acted like a couple of toddlers and were even separated and reprimanded by the mediator. The worst part of Ms. Trimble, is that once settlement was reached, she attempted to manipulate me into signing, claiming it was binding without my signature, which was a big lie. Any suggestions that I made on how to proceed, she would say her famous words, "I don't know, I'm not sure, do you think we should?" She did not follow through on anything. She wanted to have power of attorney so she could pay parties that I do not owe, just so she could develop a good relationship with them, as she admitted to the mediator. I could go on for a long time because this lawyer was just that horrible. She filed paperwork too late, lost documents, evidence, you name it. And she continues to have major typos! She is extremely unorganized. I decided that I would rather receive nothing than to pay her a dime. The judge even had to reprimand her and opposing counsel for taking too long to even make an initial offer. I was embarrassed to have her represent me. It was a wasted TWO years.

We regret that this client did not get the money she wanted. This was such a hard case to win with many obstacles in liability and causation. Here, a hotel window fell on her head but she could not remember what room she was in, and the facility did not have that info either. She took video of the scene at the time of the incident on her phone, and then cracked and almost destroyed her phone, misplacing her own evidence. I personally spent hours trying to retrieve the video and was successful. Most lawyers would not take touch such a case on a contingency. She settled her case in Mediation. Ultimately we did everything possible to prove her case and help her, but even if we had proved causation, this individual had a large gap in medical treatments, sought a great deal of treatment for issues that were completely unrelated to her case, incurring thousands of dollars in unrelated bills that had to be paid. Often it is difficult for lay people to understand the legal process. Unfortunately this client did not understand the process no matter how often I tried to educate her. She did not understand that her acceptance of an offer for settlement is a legally binding contract that can be enforced in a court of law. There was absolutely no reprimand to either attorney from a judge or mediator. What this individual interpreted as a "mediator separating the two attorneys" was actually my request for a "caucus" which is a tool in Mediation procedure to help facilitate the process. Again, this layperson does not understand the process, and unfortunately never communicated her displeasure to our firm, so that we could address her concerns with her. She states she doesn't want to pay her attorney a dime because of her displeasure with our firm. She should ask herself, why then the Expert, the doctor, and the filing fees should not get paid? I have 20 years in the insurance industry, have my AIC and FCLS insurance designations, and have worked in claims for 15 of those years, I assure you, I did not ask my client what to do, I only gave her her options.
