A leader in medical malpractice and birth injury litigation, Keith was recently recognized as one of the Top 500 Lawyers in American by Lawdragon.

Prior to that, Keith was instrumental in the firm obtaining three of the four largest verdicts in medical malpractice cases in Maryland history – a $55 million dollar verdict against Johns Hopkins Hospital (June 2012), a $21 million dollar verdict against Harbor Hospital (July 2012), and a $15.6 million dollar verdict against a nurse midwife and a hospital in Prince George’s County, Maryland (May 2013).
Since joining WVFO, Keith has been involved in over 50 cases resulting in a settlement or verdict in excess of $3,000,, including numerous settlements and verdicts over $5,000, and $10,000,.
Keith has been recognized by his peers in Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star” in the field of medical malpractice, and he has routinely been selected to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40. Keith also has an “AV Preeminent®“ rating from the Martindale-Hubbell® Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
Keith earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Rhode Island in 2002. In 2006, he earned his juris doctorate degree from the University of Baltimore. His first attorney position was with a national Plaintiffs firm where he was immersed in the practice of representing children who suffered catastrophic brain injury due to medical error. In 2008, Keith joined a boutique civil defense firm as a litigation associate where he represented doctors, nurses, hospitals and other health care professionals in defending claims of medical negligence. While his time on the defense side proved educational, Keith quickly realized that his true passion was representing Plaintiffs. He joined WVFO in 2009 where he has exclusively represented victims of medical malpractice and catastrophic injury.
Keith is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. Keith is a past contributor to “Generation J.D.,” a lawyers’ blog run by the Daily Record, Maryland’s leading legal publication. His writings have also been published in the Maryland Bar Journal.
Keith is also the creator and voice of - a website dedicated to telling the stories of those birth injury cases that went unsolved for years, but that were eventually solved by the lawyers at Wais, Vogelstein, Forman & Offutt, LLC.
