Maria Kristina Caruso

Ms. Caruso does not know the in and outs of a divorce/custody case. She continuously made mistakes such as sending me to the wrong court house, telling me not to submit documents which was used against me, she failed to give the judge a witness list so we had no witnesses. Once her retainer was paid ...she refused to meet with me to discuss my case putting me off until 12 days before the trial when she said she would not "embarrass herself" by trying to get me custody. She negotiated things with opposing counsel behind my back like child support which she should have known I am not legally allowed to pay. She put fillings off until the last minute and charged me for records I never received. She missed important emails from opposing counsel, was wrong about the sale of my house, accused me of not being able to pay her saying I owed her thousands of dollars, when she never sent an invoice. She used the excuse I have other clients besides you to explain why she did not return calls or answer emails. I fired her the first day of my trial. I am considering filing a complaint against her with the Bar.
