I thought because this attorney was so famous and well known, he would be very expensive. Don't judge a book by its cover. Despite Mr. Stafilatos fame on network news and social media and the quality of his work, which I researched before going to his office, his fees were surprisingly affordable. Th...at just goes to show, that quality does not have to be expensive when you hire the right attorney. I hired Mr. Stafilatos for a complicated legal matter which he was able to win for me in a short period of time. Let me explain what happened, initially I met with several other attorneys regarding this very provable DUI case. In fact, the other two attorneys suggested that I go ahead and take a plea and do the best with probation conditions. Based on my blood alcohol reading, that would make alot of sense and I was prepared to accept responsibility for my horrible use of judgment on that night. However, I retained Mr. Cal, and during our first interview it went so well that I hired him on the spot. I am glad I did because he did what most other attorneys do not do. He subpoenaed the maintenance records of the Intoximeter machine, and low and behold after discovery was disclosed by the State it revealed the machine that was used had been expired and had not been tested for accuracy for over a year. Ultimately, the test results were excluded at trial and the disposition of the case was “NOT GUILTY”!!! I learned a valuable lesson that night and through this entire legal process. And even though I walked out of the courtroom relieved I wouldn’t have a record and that this nightmare was over, Cal made sure I was prepared going into the case with his facilitation of alcohol counseling and his sound advice. He counseled me like a big brother and made sure that I understood how bad this could have been for me. Point blank, the man cares about his clients personally and also takes the time to ensure that I don’t repeat this behavior. Cal is very personable and always accessible, especially over email correspondence. His office staff is always professional and accommodating and I was kept informed throughout my entire legal process. I am very appreciative of having met this attorney who I now consider my friend. I highly recommend him and his legal group!

This lawyer talked a very convincing game when I met him, (and paid him). Then it was weeks, before I could get a hold of him to discuss my case. He wouldn't return calls to his office or cell phone. He only answered me when I told him I had a new case or more money for him. He made MANY promises to ...meet with me at the detention center to discuss my case. MONTHS pass by, no word. No returned calls. Didn't see him until the day of court. He then told me he worked out a deal with the plaintiff in my case. I needed to rush him restitution money that day for this deal. He told me he met with plaintiff months prior. My case was put on a stet docket pending verification of this deal. Well, my case we reopened and retried because the lawyer NEVER TALKED TO THE PLAINTIFF. Once again no updates of the retrial or any word at all from the lawyer... Months pass by and the day of my retrial, he doesn't show. He sent another lawyer on his behalf that had no history or knowledge of my case, at all. I guess Mr. Stafilatos didn't want to face me or the JUDGE he lied to. Oh, here's the best part. Since the "deal" he made was make believe, I wanted my money back. It took me FOUR MONTHS to get my money back from him and it was short $20.00. I wouldn't recommend this lawyer for a speeding ticket. He's a crook and plain horrible lawyer. $3000 can't even buy you a phone call or status update with this lawyer. Call ANYONE else, please.

I have hired Cal as my Lawyer, business resident agent and also legal advisor. I met Cal 7 years ago during my early adulthood. Each and every small traffic case that I've had has always been handled professionally , and in a expedited manner. Cal is very upfront, honest and reasonable with cost. I h...ave referred him to serval others while still utilizing his legal services for my electrical business. I see him at least once a year for a suspended license LOL (inside joke). Knock on wood it hasn't been anything critical , I would tell you this if you choose his legal service pay the price and relax after that. He will give you the worse case but also the best case and 9.9 0f 10 you will end in the best outcome! I couldn't ask for a better friend, or legal advisor. I randomly saw an ad for AVVO’s website and looked up the lawyer I used in the past. Most of the reviews posted on here are pretty spot on. He’s the person for your litigation needs. I usually don't respond to these things, however I felt compelled to do so on this occasion. Cal was not only pro...fessional but he genuinely had concerns for my matter and it showed. In my experiences with him, he can be pretty blunt and upfront, which may not be what you’re looking for. Personally, I would rather my lawyer tell me the truth then tell me what I want to hear. My understanding is that Cal has multiple office locations and practices in the Washington DC/Baltimore regions. So I know he is busy and is sometimes tough to get on the phone. However, during our initial consultation, he admittedly disclosed that he is a very busy litigation attorney and that in case of an immediate emergency or if I ever was in need to contact him directly via email. I am a professional e-mailer and let me tell you, he promptly responded to every single one I sent. I hired Cal for his business experience and formulation of my company. He handled my civil matter with great care and diligence. I would not hesitate or have any reservations using his services again and I would highly recommend Cal and his staff for anyone’s legal issues.

Wonderful person and attorney I have had the privileged of having Cal as the attorney in my family law case for over 3 years. Prior to seeing Cal, I sought out legal counsel with 3 other attorney’s in the Washington DC region only to have spent thousands of dollars for an enormous emotional battle. ...I will never need to use another attorney again, Cal is trustworthy, honest and a good family man.
