I hired Helen Smith to help control an out of control personal representative and his attorney. Helen Smith was accessible, responsive, knowledgeable and always there with sound legal advice. At times, she had to correct the other attorney who didn't seem to know what she was doing. She also helpe...d represented my brother in this estate settlement. She was able to lessen the abuse by the personal representative to my brother and was able to secure items of the estate that were promised him. She continued to help with this estate settlement even after she changed law firms. She is a very skillful and very "smart" attorney. Had she been hired as the estate attorney, the settlement would have been without controversy or angst. She helped me through one mediation and three exception hearings to help settle an estate that was always "out of control." Her billing was, I felt, very reasonable. She listened to what I had to say. She never spoke ill of the personal representative or his attorney, but she certainly could have if she wanted. And she really knows what she is talking about when responding to a legal question or awkward legal situation.
