Biography
Paul is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus, and the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, located in Washington, D.C.After completing law school, he worked for a year in the defense industry as a contracts administrator for the Westinghouse Defense Company, now the Northrop Grumman 1985, he opened his private law practice. His first office was located in Baltimore City and he then practiced primarily in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. He soon relocated his practice to his home county of Carroll County, Maryland. Over the years he concentrated his practice in the areas of Family law, Mediation, Criminal and DUI/DWI defense, and Wills and Estate Planning and Estate Administration. Paul has been named a Maryland Super Lawyer for 2017. This is the second year in a row that Paul has been named a Super Lawyer in the area of Family Law. The Super Lawyer Award is based on attaining a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. It is only awarded to five percent of Maryland lawyers. Paul Capriolo has also recently been named one of the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys in Maryland for 2017 and one of the top 100 Trial Lawyers for 2017 by the National Trial Lawyers Association.
