Indefinite Suspension issued in MD, 2008
updated on 10/16/2012Suspended indefinitely means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for an unknown period of time. The attorney will need to re-apply for admission to the Bar if he or she intends to resume practice in the future.
“This finding relate to the first suspension as a second para-legal was found to have stolen money while aiding in straightening out the mess caused by the former employee. Although older and certified she had earlier been convicted of theft from a trust fund belonging to her gradmother. This information was unknown at the time of hire as she came highly recommended by a college recruitment office. She went to prison. I paid the funds back. I did a 90 day suspension and was readmitted.”

“I was indefinitely suspended with the right to reapply for admission in 30 days based on the theft of escrow funds by a para-legal in my office. The findings were based on accountability since it was my office. I mmediately repaid the stolen money. She was convicted and went to prison. I was readmitted after the period of suspension.”
