I have been a lawyer for nearly 21 years. As a new elder guardian, I was -- and continue to be -- overwhelmed by the legal responsibilities associated with guardianship. The task of compliance is arduous and detailed; complicated by forms and regulations. Taking care of an incapacitated elder is a challenge (and blessing) on its own, but t...ogether the physical/emotional requirements added to the legal requirements are daunting.
