Extremely expensive

Not only was John Green expensive during our adoption but I found myself having to take care of things myself that John was unable to accomplish. I would not recommend his services at all.

I am sorry to read this review as I pride myself on excellent service and happy clients. In the 1600 adoptions I've handled, I have not had any client express concerns such as this to me. That said, on the concerns raised, my fees are discussed with all clients before we start working together so they can evaluate and compare costs if they wish. In speaking with other adoption attorneys I have learned that my fees are competitive or often significantly lower than what is charged here. As for working together, clients are often asked to support our work by supplying documents, such as marriage certificates and statements of health as required by the courts. This is part of a cooperative effort that we do to help hold down costs for all of our clients. We believe that clients shouldn't have to pay for something they can do themselves-- unless of course, they want us to do it for them! I invite the writer of this review, if intended tor me (I spell my name Greene, not Green), to contact me to discuss any concerns directly so they can be resolved.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
