The existing custody orde ... r gave both parents 50/50 custody. Attorney Mulinazzi was appointed to be the child's Best Interests Attorney. He gathered information from many sources, subpoenaed guidance counselors, and documentation, prepared the teenager for court and gained permission from the Court for the teenager to tell his story in Chambers. As a result, the child is now safe from the abuse, counseling was ordered, the child can see the the abusive parent in a safe, limited environment, the abusive parent is paying child support, and the child is very happy with the outcome.

Client is a 50 year old man who became disabled a few years ago as a result of a degenerative disease. He had several surgeries on his back and he is in constant pain. He cannot work. His wife decides ... to leave him. She is a nursing home administrator and earns a substantial salary. She filed for divorce and refuses to financially support him. Our Office gathered the necessary information regarding his actual expenses, his SSDI, and his medical records and brought the case before the Court for a Pendente Lite Hearing. We got the Court to order Wife to pay the entire mortgage and give him an extra $3,000/month (on top of his SSDI) to pay his bills and get treatment. This was 4x what wife was offering.

After three days of trial this week, MLO/Mulinazzi Law Office wins a HUGE victory for its client in a custody and child support case. The adverse party earns 21x more than our client and had the resour ... ces to wage a 15 month custody battle to include unnecessary depositions and pleadings and subpoenas. The other side even filed a completely baseless Motion for Drug and Alcohol Testing only in an attempt to harass our client --- All were defended successfully. Lead attorney, Shannon Kowitz, and 2nd Chair Attorney Michelle Dauksha did a masterful job of exposing the adverse party's attempts to hide income and recategorizing personal expenses as business expenses. Their presentation persuaded the Judge to deny the opposing party's case before considering the merits of his evidence. The Judge ruled that the other side violated previous Court Orders, and Her Honor awarded $10,000/month in child support $35,000 in back child support, and she is holding a hearing in two weeks to award attorney's fees. Opposing party (Mom) refused to honor the agreement and would not pay her share of various expenses for the child. After sending a demand to her directly for her compliance, Attorney Mulinazzi filed a ... Petition for Contempt and a Motion to Enforce. At the hearing, the attorney was able to demonstrate not only that she was in contempt for her refusal to pay for the child's expenses, but also that she was able to afford these expenses and was obstinate in her refusal to comply. The Court found her in contempt and granted 100% of client's attorney's fees.

Attorney Mulinazzi was able to cite to the copious evidence he advanced in the trial record and explain how our client's position comported with Maryland caselaw. The Appellate Court ruled in our client's favor, thus finally ending the case.
