Biography
Having grown up in a family of lawyers and judges, I have always viewed the practice of law as a calling, similar to that of the practice of medicine.
Even after more than 25 years, mostly dedicated to trial work, my principles remain in place. I provide my clients with great effort, strategic planning, and the judgment that I have been fortunate to attain.
Traditionally, lawyers with degrees from Johns Hopkins and Duke Law do not devote their time to folks facing criminal or drunk driving charges. My view, particularly in the area of DUI and drug possession, is that, when a law does not produce a positive result, then fighting the law is the only way to preserve the larger interests of society.
Therefore, I generally find that the lawyers who rush their clients through plea deals are serving neither their clients nor the broader society. In fact, it is this very action of lawyers that has insured my committment to criminal defense and DUI defense.
