Cary Caroline Jacobson

I hired Cary Jacobson for what should have been an uncomplicated divorce in October 2016. Cary patiently, meticulously, and shrewdly guided me through custody, visitation, child support negotiations and final divorce ending in November 2018. Cary was always responsive and professional. She was very c...lear about the law and the possibilities for my case. Although her goal is to assist parties in coming to reasonable and fair compromises, she doesn't hesitate to pull out the stops and fully utilize her complete arsenal when needed. Along with her understanding and compassion, Cary is shrewd. She legally outwitted opposing counsel on several occasions to obtain what my children and I needed. Her non-confrontational style worked in our favor. Our case included a BIA, Social Worker, Forensic Psychiatrist, and opposing counsel. Cary was invaluable to the experience with each of them. She is well connected and navigates the Howard County legal systems with impressive ease. Her staff is just as on top of things as she is. Cary talked me off of the ledge several times. She was honest about when I just needed to sit still and wait. I'm so glad I listened. Besides a favorable outcome without a divorce trial, one of the huge benefits of working with Cary over two years was learning what was important -- what was worth the big fight and what wasn't. I am now pleased to report back to her when I am able to initiate a successful compromise with my children's father. When you divorce with young children, things always come up. Although Cary provided a clear and concise agreement, our co-parenting is ongoing. I can man the helm in proposing and obtaining compromises so that I don't have to keep going back to court for every little item. Cary modeled that and I am thankful for it. I strongly recommend Cary if you want a compassionate, smart, drama-free, shrewd lawyer who will be careful with your dollars and teach you along the way. She's a definite winner in my book!

Hello and greetings to whoever is reading this review. I hardly write review and most of the time i just read them over writing them, but I was very overwhelmed to write this one on this Thursday afternoon Jan 07, 2016. My girlfriend and I hired Attorney Jacobson in mid 2015 after the first Lawyer w...e hired was not in our best interests. Attorney Jacobson did our initial consultation and was very attentive and quick to notice mistakes that were on the documentation from the other lawyer. Attorney Jacobson noticed these errors in minutes of reading it and i was impressed and we decided to hire her for my girlfriend divorce and child custody case. My girlfriend went through a few mediations and the trial was on January 5th 2016. Attorney Jacobson was smart and strong in defending our case so strong to the point were the defendant lawyer look like he wanted to give up and defended just looked plain stupid. We won big and I would always be grateful to attorney Cary Jacobson. I would recommend her highly to anyone.
