Quality advice and service

I recently experienced a break up from a girlfriend with whom I had a child with and we both co-owned a house. Given the unique circumstances, I was in desperate need of advice and guidance from a knowledgeable source. A friend referred me to Amos, who quickly set up a consultation, took time to lear...n all the details about my situation, and provided a clear direction on how to proceed. Amos's knowledge, as well as his constant reassurance, helped tremendously in easing the stress, anxiety, and confusion during a time of personal crisis. I recommend Amos, especially for men going through divorce or custody issues.

Best attorney you can trust

I was dealing with extremely stressful custody situation and the ex was acting like above the law. I reached out to Amos Whitney after someone recommended to me. Hiring Amos was the best decision I ever made for my self and my child. He saw something urgent that needed to be taken care of right a...way and took immediate actions to resolve it. I can’t thank him enough for the results that came out of his decision making. He was only a phone call away when I needed him during tense situations. I trust my attorney that as long as he is my attorney, my child’s well being is in good hands. He is sharp and dependable for his clients and fearless against the opponents.

My hero, attorney Amos Whitney!

I had a complicated custody situation. At first I went to Mr Whitney to enquire what my options are. After listening to my story, he offered to represent me pro bono. I was overwhelmed with emotions, I could tell he understood and felt my pain. Yes he settled it without me going to court not even one... time (heaven knows I'm afraid of the court room). Thanks for patient, kindness and professionalism and intelligence. My family will forever be grateful to you.

My best choice yet

My case isn't anywhere close to being finished yet . . but I should've went with Amos the first time around. I hired Amos for my child custody case after my divorce. It has been a long, emotional process. "Some" of the time, I have been emotionally unreasonable and Amos is able to get me back on ...track. He is very knowledgeable and really cares about the children. Do you research, have the consults, go with the lawyer you feel most comfortable with! Make sure he/she has a soft side but can be aggressive as well. Divorce is an emotional process. Make sure you find a lawyer that looks at both sides. At the end of the day, emotions aside, it comes down to the best interest of you, the client, but the children as well.

Experienced, Driven, and Truthful

When I was served for an increase of child support, I was concerned that all of the lawyers would not be on my side due to me being a male. Majority of all the positive reviews across searches for lawyers were from women. I found Weinberg and Schwartz then Amos. He was very friendly and truthful with... me. I informed him that I had an upcoming case to obtain full custody of my daughter in which he requested to work with my custody lawyer out of state in VA. I gained full custody and Amos strategically fought against Social Services and stayed persistent. He was able to maneuver in a way that the increase was withdrawn. Immediately he filed for a motion to terminate child support. In which he the other party was avoiding being served. Long story short he got her served. The court date was issued but due to family obligations he wasn’t sure he’d be able to attend, so he employed an associate lawyer Jacquelyn Limsky to represent me on his behalf. I met her on the court date in which she did an amazing job. She explained to me the process when I showed up to court and she performed very well as Amos assured me. Long story short, my motion to terminate child support was granted and post dated back to July 2019 when I gained custody. I’m so happy!!!! He also filed for me to gain child support which will be coming up shortly. Amos fought for me and I will always be grateful for his services. I have been proven wrong that men can’t win in child support cases. Those men just had the wrong lawyer. Hire Amos!!!
