Amos Matthew Whitney

I was referred to Amos by someone who had just used his services and I'm glad I listened! I worked with Amos over a 4 year-long period of divorce. We ended up doing the majority of the leg-work (gathering docs, prep and sale of primary residence, etc...) since my spouse wasn't up to the task. It was ...a long and agonizing adventure, and at times when I was just angry, Amos would let me vent, and then reel me back down to earth calmly (which to me makes him that much more valuable - the ability to listen!). I never once felt like he was slowing down the process, in fact he often told me how to do stuff on my own (and pushed me to do it in a timely manner) so as to minimize my expenses and ultimately get this thing done. His advice was always well thought out and ended up being the best plan of action, despite me not always wanting to listen. In the end, i was happy with the outcome we were able to accomplish (or as happy as anyone really can be in these situations!) and I'm able to move on with life. I sought legal counsel from Mr. Whitney after being served with divorce papers by my ex-husband who is also an attorney by profession. My case was contentious and highly charged.
