Hire Amos Whitney! You won’t regret it.

Amos helped our family navigate an outdated custody plan designed for grade school children which no longer fit the lifestyles of two teenagers. The custody case was originally settled more than ten years ago in a different state while my ex-husband and I were still active-duty military and we had bo...th moved to different states after divorcing, making shared primary custody impractical. Additionally, I had initially agreed to no child support in exchange for primary physical custody and settled for minimal child support for 10+ years while I paid for medical expenses, child care, and day-to-day care and feeding for both of our children. It was unfair; however, I prioritized having my children with me while we traveled the globe in support of military service. Amos helped navigate this complex situation, stayed calm, professional, and focused even when the other side missed deadlines, failed to disclose income, made veiled threats, and tried to fight against paying a reasonable amount of child support. Luckily, patience and sticking to the facts prevailed and we were able to settle for extremely favorable terms with a child support increase of more than 250% and included provisions for arrears support! A Divorce Attorney with the Right Touch

Divorcing can be a long emotional path to walk. You need an attorney that understands time, a human touch, and legal tactic often make for the right combination to achieve the most amicable outcome possible. Amos is such an attorney. He is patient but appropriately pressing when needed. He is a good ...listener and a coach. His support was instrumental in helping me to endure the difficulty of divorcing. In the end, divorce is not just a legal proceeding. When handled appropriately it is the beginning of a healing process. There was much healing needed in my divorce. Amos quickly recognized that and plotted out an approach to manage my expectations while protecting my legal interests and managing the time necessary to position both parties for healing. Early in my divorce, I asked Amos how he could handle dealing with all the emotional difficulties of a divorce while staying positive. He simply said that his job is not to position the client to simply win the divorce, it is to position them to begin living again after the divorce. Thank you for your counsel, Amos! Job Well Done!

Exceedingly professional, knowledgeable, and highly recommend!

I selected Mr. Amos Whitney to represent me through a year and a half of a difficult child custody dispute. During the entirety of the case, I constantly felt that I was treated with the utmost respect, professionalism, and kindness. After years of unsuccessful attempts to resolve issues around child... custody and co-parenting myself, I reached out to Amos for assistance. Even though there were a number of unique aspects to my case, Amos navigated them all with ease and determination. He was responsive to my communications, provided honest guidance and advice, and was actively present at each meeting and hearing. Just as importantly, he centered my child's best interests throughout everything. I cannot recommend his expertise enough. Competent & Compassionate

It could not be more important, when undergoing a divorce that is disruptive and painful to an entire family, to find an attorney who is both competent and also compassionate. Mr. Whitney has an abundance of patience and understanding as he guided us through through the complexities of divorce law, w...hile also being mindful of the emotions and personal difficulties that are necessarily involved.
