Great professional!

Mr. Messer is a great professional who can empathize with his clients and help them transition their immigration process confidently. He has helped me during my greencard and naturalization process always providing me with accurate information and making me feel supported at all times. I had an amazi...ng experience working with Mr. Messer and recommend him to anyone needing someone to guide them during their immigration process.

“From ‘Too Difficult’ to Approved – Exceptional Immigration Support!

I highly recommend attorney Benjamin at Wilkes Lakes and his paralegal Liannie for anyone navigating the immigration process—especially if your case seems “too difficult.” Before coming here, I consulted with another attorney who rejected our case, calling it too complicated. Benjamin not only took o...n our case, but guided us with confidence and professionalism every step of the way. Liannie was incredibly responsive, answering all of my questions promptly and helping me trust the process. Benjamin helped my husband and me feel fully prepared for our interview, and our residency was approved just one day later. If you want a lawyer who can turn complex cases into positive outcomes, this is the team you want on your side!

Best Immigration Lawyer

Attorney Benjamin Messer is one of the greatest immigration attorneys I have ever worked with. Prior to meeting him, I met with at least five other immigration attorneys and none of them even came close to being as talented and knowledgeable about the asylum process in the US. Mr. Messer took the tim...e to hear my case, and provided a fair assessment as to how likely my case was to be approved. He treated me like a friend, and he really cared about helping me win. After hiring him, he worked to strengthen my case, helping me with my personal statement, and with finding corroborating evidence in news articles and country condition reports to support the case. He explained the entire process to me, as well as all of my options. Prior to my court date, he conducted preparation sessions with me, to help me understand how the process would be. Mr. Messer defended my case excellently in court, and thanks to him, I was prepared for every question asked of me during court. Thanks to Mr. Messer and Wilkes Legal, I was granted asylum after 10 years of waiting. I am forever grateful.

The worse experience in my life (El peor abogado de migracion).

Me and my wife hired Benjamin Messer, in February 2019, and at first he was nice and said that the process of me moving to the USA was only going to take a year and that my process was really straightforward since we were already married for two years. After we hired him he never had time for our cas...e, and he would never reply to our questions, and it took him TWO years for me to finally get my consulate interview. Suddenly that's when he didn't know how to fill out the application for a candidate applying from my country. His excuse was that he worked more with people from El Salvador, and not from country. Ben and his paralegal Andrea, were extremely unprofessional because none of them knew how to fill out the application property, and I was getting frustrated because I was missing time to prepare and arrange for a flight to the consulate interview in my country. When I demanded for him to he give more importance to my case, he said that he could drop my case at anytime. I couldn't believe it, but were tied up and in the middle of the most important part of the process, so we didn't want to drop the case and also lose all the money that we already paid him. He also billed us extra for every email that we sent him, even though he was unable to answer the questions due his lack of knowledge. Please do not hire him, he does not care about helping immigrants move into the country. He will pretend that he is good and then turn your back in you if your case isn’t important enough for him. The immigration process is super stressful and delicate so please make an important decision, and choose another attorney.

Dear Karime, I'm so glad I got a positive result for you. I'm happy that you and your partner are now living and working together in the United States. The problems you describe took place at a firm where I worked until early 2020. That firm charged by the hour, so you had to pay for emails and phone calls. My current firm charges fixed fees, so additional communication does not mean additional payment. There were delays with your case, but they were caused by beginning the process without an attorney, so I had to fix prior mistakes, and then by a global pandemic which slowed down visa processing worldwide. Immigration is often a painfully slow process for everyone. Everyone at my firm answers client communications within 48 hours, and when there is a decision to withdraw from a case, it is never a threat. The threat you reference was not from me, but from my old boss after I had left. Neither I nor my firm operate that way. In fact, we frequently assist people in getting decisions in delayed or stuck cases. I wish you the best with your life in the United States.

"I worked with Ben for a year at the Law Office of Manuel Rivera. While I was there, I worked with ten different attorneys. He was the most talented of all of them. His knowledge of immigration law was almost like that of an encyclopedia. Also, he was an excellent researcher and often found solutions to seemingly insolvable problems. I highly recommend this lawyer."
