Luiz R Simmons

I found Mr. Simmons after searching the web and reading, among other things, this website. I definitely do not regret the decision. I had never met him before, and I specifically chose him for my criminal defense case because I work in politics and he has previously served as a legislator. I believed... he would understand how my case could reflect poorly on my boss and my clients, and I was correct. His rates were fair, his staff were helpful and discreet, and he obtained a very good result for me. What else can you possibly ask for out of an attorney? If you work on the Hill or in a similar public position and you need someone you can trust, this is your man. I hope I never have to retain the services of a criminal defense attorney ever again, but if I do, I will be calling him back. I would recommend his services to all my friends and colleagues, both Republicans and Democrats.

My family and I have been clients of Luiz Simmons for over 15 years. He has represented me several times in child support and other matters. He is a very kind a compassionate individual and really cared about my case and issues. I found that his knowledge of the laws and court system incredible. ...I had three separate cases with him and won each of these. Later my son had a traffic case and again, we turned to Luiz Simmons to represent him and again we were extremely happy with the representation he gave us. I find that his rates are reasonable compared to other lawyers in the area with his years of experience. I have and would continue to highly recommend him to my family and friends.

My experience with Mr. Simmons and his staff was pleasant until they didn't show up in court. I turned down the public defender only to have my paid attorney not show up because she was in court with another client. Completely forgot about my case! After the mixup, no one called to say anything. Seve...ral calls and a month later when I tracked them down, Mr. Simmons gave me a copy of a bill and said I should not be upset because I had already received a discount. I paid them a fee they asked for. I never requested a discount nor was offered one. I wish they admitted they were unprofessional instead of trying to justify a huge mistake. Mr. Simmons should charge his fee instead of double booking court dates and not showing up.
