Mr. Cooney seemed very friendly and moderately knowledgeable at first. When I received my documents, they were clearly repurposed from previous work he had done and included various fonts and typos. Some obvious things that needed to be addressed were not. When I pointed this out, he got agitated and... irritated. After I paid my bill in full, my follow-up emails were not answered at all. Caution.

I hired this lawyer to take care of a very simple matter that I could have taken care of myself had I not been leaving the country. He was obviously overpriced but I didn't have time to shop around and so we made a deal. Once I left the US and began emailing him to start the work, his incredible ...lack of response was astounding. Every email I sent, I had to resend a couple of times (maybe a week apart each time) before I got a response. And usually my third email would be worded to reflect how incredulous I was that I was getting NO response. Well, that was the biggest problem I had besides the fact that he was extremely over-priced for very simple work. This man DOESN'T CARE and doesn't care if you know it, either. Don't go to him if you want legal help.
