Elnur Veliev

I graduated from University of the District of Columbia David A Clarke School of Law in 2007. While in law school, I practiced as a student attorney in the HIV AIDS Clinics, where I represented low-income D.C. residents seeking social security disability benefits. I was also in the Community Development Clinics, where I assisted D.C. residents with establishing small business and prepare applications to obtain patents from the U.S. Patent Office. After graduating from law school, I worked as a Senior Account Executive at a marketing company in Bethesda, Maryland.

I have been practicing law since December 2012 and I am licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and in the U.S. District Court for Maryland. I also have the privilege of being selected to the 2018 Maryland Rising Stars list by Maryland Super Lawyers Magazine.

I was born in Azerbaijan and moved to the United States when I was ten years old. I have lived in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for the past 24 years. I am fluent in Azeri, Turkish and Russian and speak conversational Spanish. I am married and have a ten-month old daughter.

My hobbies include reading, watching soccer and traveling.
