Client Review

Greg has provided excellent representation for us since we moved to the metropolitan Washington D.C. area approximately five years ago. During that time he has represented us numerous times in negotiating loan agreements, leases and other matters involving our business affairs. In each instance, he ...has provided extraordinary advice and has proven to be an exceptional advocate. I would highly recommend Greg and will continue to seek his advice and counsel when necessary.

Client Review

I continue to have Greg represent me in everything from real estate to estate planning to traffic court. He is reliable and hard-working. He knows when to defer to someone else, rather than to guess at something. He is way too nice sometimes, but can be an absolute barracuda when necessary. I hig...hly recommend him to anyone who comes across him and is in need of legal help.

Reprimand issued in MD, 2011

updated on 02/22/2021

Reprimand means the attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State warns the lawyer in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Greg’s comment:

“A former client deposited funds into my escrow account to be used to save her home from foreclosure. 12 hours before the sale she retained bankruptcy counsel to stop the foreclosure. I issued a check for the court filing fee. Several months later the client filed a complaint against the bankruptcy attorney. Although she did not file a complaint against me, Bar Counsel reprimanded me for insufficiently documenting the disbursement. The Peer Review Board had determined no violation had occurred.”

Suspension issued in DC, 2004

updated on 02/22/2021

Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

Greg’s comment:

“I was suspended for 6 months after making a misleading representation to a court in an effort to protect my client from prosecution for filing a false subpoena. Within 30 minutes of becoming aware of the subpoena, I had withdrawn it. There were no negative consequences to the opposing party in my client's litigation. A dissenting member of the DC Bar Grievance panel argued that a 30-day suspension would have been more appropriate under these circumstances.”
