Stuart H Grozbean

Stuart Grozbean and the entire BW&G family are top notch! I had hired Stu at the beginning of my divorce and custody battle, in 2010. (see previous review) This most recent review in 2025 speaks to his commitment to integrity and cultivating a relationship that continues almost 15 years later! W...hen my divorce and custody hearings were over, Stu told me if he could ever assist me with anything to give him a call. At the time, I thought of this comment as more of a "call me when you have more business" gesture. Common practice, right?! Wrong! Mr. Grozbean meant every word of what he said, in the most genuine way possible! Over the last 15 years I have called on Stuart for advice numerous times. He has always taken my calls, brainstormed with me, given me recommendations and references and taken a genuine interest in me and my children's lives; even calling on occasion to just check in and say hello! Stu has never charged me for his time, (sometimes more than a billable amount) and always wished me good luck in my legal endeavors. Recently, in April of 2025, I had an issue with the Child Support Guidelines and how they were being reported. Not able to get anywhere with the local government office and being bullied into signing inaccurate documents, I called Stu! Mr. Grozbean immediately returned my call and worked very diligently to procure the necessary documents to make adjustments that should be used for calculations. Stu worked with me to present the documentation to the county and when he saw that I was still getting incorrect information, he knew just who to call. Stuart has a wealth of resources at his disposal and knows his way around the courthouse! He had the appropriate support documented and entered into the support file. He was also able to have the subpoena to be delivered and court dates that had been set removed. Mr. Grozbean, my divorce attorney from 15 years ago, did not charge me for his efforts, time, experience and connections! This is a true testament to his statement of if you ever need anything, give me a call! Stu is a stand-up attorney and can be taken at word! I am thankful that I hired him in 2010 and still thankful for him and his friendship in 2025! I highly recommend Stuart Grozbean and the BW&G firm. You can’t find a better attorney out there! Mr Grozbean is exceptionally knowledgeable and talented in all the legal aspects of my child support case. Mr Grozbean together with his staff discussed with me the best course of action and the possible outcomes. He was calm and empathetic yet very quick and aggressive and asked the right question...s throughout my trial hearing. He is very professional, was always available and I never felt rushed. Stuart is simply the best! I needed to hire an attorney for child support and many years of child support arrearages owed to me by my ex-husband. I was on a very tight budget in terms of even being able to afford an attorney and get through this process. During my initial consultation with Stu, ...he spent over 2 hours discussing my case – and I knew then and there he was not your typical lawyer. I never felt rushed to leave, nor did I ever feel like he was just in it for the money and I was just another case. Understanding my financial concerns, Stu decided to have another one of his associates be the lead on my case, at a lower rate, but with Stu’s consultation throughout the whole process at NO charge. So, I had the experience of two lawyers handling my case, but only one hourly rate. I retained Stuart Grozbean to work out a child support modification, as I knew that my former spouse would be unwilling to cooperate with me. Mr. Grozbean went far beyond what the original attorneys who handled my divorce provided. The original attorneys I hired (13 years ago) for the original divo...rce proceeding did little more than cash my checks and file paperwork. Mr. Grozbean did much more. He was in constant communication with me about where negotiations stood, he was an excellent legal support system for me when I had questions about the modification process. I never felt that I was bothering him or taking up too much of his time when I contacted him. I have had the pleasure of knowing Stuart Grozbean since 2001 when he accepted to represent me in a very difficult and contentuois divorce. I work with a lot of attorneys in my job and I asked them if they were going through a nasty divorce who would you get as an attorney and five out of eight said ...Stuart Grozbean. My ex attempted to take me to the bank even though she left me for another man. Stuart was able to secure my full retirement, my residence, my summer home and 50% custody of my child. Stuart told me up front I would be hit with a substantial child support payment because of my income but he would fight to the death to preserve all I have worked for,and he did fight like a spartan gladiator in court. Recently (2011) I was served with modification orders by my Ex trying to get an incease in child support and to pay child support until my now 18 year old child reaches 19 years of age. Although Stuart"s fees are not cheep, he is the most expeirenced, knowlegable and outright bulldog in the court room that I have ever seen( better than Jonny Cochrin).
