Mr. Kupferberg is kind, empathetic and knew the law for this case better than anyone else in the room. He performed above my expectations and stayed ahead of all the tedious paperwork. My Son struggles with some acute mental, physical and substance abuse issues. That TMI to explain we have hired Mr. Kupferberg three different times for charges of varying degrees of severity. I think there were about "traditional" 5 speeding/reckless driving charges in three separate instances, ...usually folded in with other charges. There hasn't been a point on his licence and he has always had reduced fines. As a 16 year old my son hit a parked car and drove off. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome that Mr. Kupferberg was able to negotiate. Extremely satisfied. As a 21 year old, my son was stopped and refused a breathalyzer test. There was plenty of scary outcomes that could have resulted from the multitude of charges piled on to this. We got the best that could have been hoped for (270 days with and an Interlock). It was really scary. Mr. Kupferberg really was calming and professional. My son had a court date and was in the hospital getting help. Mr. Kupferberg drove to Westminster (it was in Carroll County) and had the traffic charges he was facing dismissed! All he really had to do was write a letter putting it off. Instead, he drove up by himself, to help his client. He cares. He is super smart. He knows EVERYONE. He and his office is very communicative. I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon. I would 100% recommend him. This is a great lawyer.

I hired Steve for my first criminal case I ever caught. To put it simply, i got the vibe my case did not matter to him. He did not communicate with me consistently regarding the status of my case, my options. I was offered a plea deal with home detention for 2 years. I asked him his opinion and he sa...id that is my choice. I know, but I am no legal which is why I askedchis opinion. I decided to decline the deal and took it to trial recieving a better plea deal than the earlier one offered. He forgot small things about my case constantly. I would not recommend betting your freedom on this man. Almost couldve done the job myself.
