David Michael Lux

David Lux represented me in a DUI case. I was really worried about losing my drivers license or getting an interlock device on my car because I have to drive a lot on my job. David was able to have my breath test thrown out and my charge reduced to negligent driving. I was amazed and very gratefu...l. David was very aggressive with the prosecutor and also kept me informed how my case was going. Not understanding the legal process very well, he explained things to me in a way I could understand. David later represented me in a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. He filed my case quickly and got rid of all of my debt just as he promised. I highly recommend David Lux. David Lux handled our Chapter 13 Bankruptcy case about 3 years ago. My wife and I have just finished our 3 year bankruptcy plan. David was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to us. When we came to David, my wife and I qualified for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy but we were several months behind on our 2 c...ars loans and our mortgage payments due to a recent temporary job loss. Even though we were filing for bankruptcy, our car loan companies were threatening repossession and were struggling to come up with the money to catch up. We had met with several bankruptcy attorneys before being recommended to David and none before him recommended filing for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy instead of Chapter 7 to better handle and catch up on our car loans and mortgages . After meeting with David and understanding our options much better, we were much more relived and less stressed going through the bankruptcy process. By filing for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, we were able to make low payments to catch up on our mortgage and spread out our 2 cars loans where the monthly payments were now several hundred dollars a month lower than before and we no longer were behind on them. And we were still able to wipe out all of our credit cards and medical debt. David filed our case quickly and was always available to answer our questions and concerns. He is also very friendly. I highly recommend David Lux as a bankruptcy attorney. He did a great job for us.

We were recommended to use David as our attorney. We went to our consultation and were completely amazed by how disheveled he and his office looked. He asked us for the same paperwork repeatedly. Forgot to review our profit and loss statement multiple times. In April of the year we visited him he tol...d us we were ready to go and we could stop paying our credit cards. Which we had never missed a payment on up to that point. So we went ahead and stopped making our payments as he was going to be filing for us in May. In May I contacted him. He got back to me at the end of May and said he lost my profit and loss statement. I sent it again. June he called us into the office at the end of the month and said we were finally ready to file. We had paid him his full fee and taken the class already. As we were sitting in his office he finally looks at the profit and loss statement and informs us there is no way we could file because we have too much disposable income. Not sure where this disposable income was, but we definitely didn't have it! So he said to come back in a few months and try to work less to make less money. Then maybe we could file then. In the meantime we've stopped paying all the credit cards and now are 3 months behind. Well working less to make less money isn't or wasn't even an option. So now we are still digging ourselves out of this hole rather than having filed bankruptcy. We didn't lose our house or cars thankfully, but we did lose out on $1500 we paid him to do absolutely nothing for us!

David Lux failed to inform me about my car loan during Chapter 7 bankruptcy case. My car was repossessed and now I have to pay the full amount of what the car is worth. I missed three payments during the filing and was not informed I still had to pay on my car. The paralegal supposedly left another f...amily member a message and I never received it. I was not told by anyone about my car loan. Now I am car less I didn't even sign a reaffirmation agreement or was informed about that either. Do not choose this attorney I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

David Michael Lux is the least personable lawyer I have yet to meet. I was contacted by him on several occasions and he spoke and sent emails that were unprofessional, that aside he continually requested the same information multiple times seeming to lose requested information Immediately after recei...ving the required data. After nearly a year, he still had not provided any tangible service and passed the case to an individual with less years’ experience who than requested all the same information that had been sent to him. I would advise caution choosing a law person from The Law Offices of Jason S. Newcombe.
