Attorney indicated that he would take my case, keeping costs down. Paid initial retainer of $6500. Then proceeded to pad bill by charging for extensive number of emails sent. Rather then picking up a phone and having a 5-10 minute conversation, he preferred to go back and forth via email, billing $70 for every email allegedly sent, and there were many. He is verbose and also wastes a lot of billable time telling stories of previous cases.
Not at all supportive or encouraging. Numerous times it felt like he was working for the other side. Clueless as to toll a family law case takes on the family. Not suited for family law, as he is definitely in it for the money and will drag things out, unnecessarily, to keep billing the client.

I expressed my goals at the onset of our initial meeting and all during the collaborative divorce proceedings. My primary concern was continually relegated to a wait and see approach with the opposing attorney. All this did was cause me to waste senseless amounts of money on legal fees with nothing resulting to my satisfaction. I was willing to collaborate on an assortment of other less significant issues which always seemed to be more paramount to the opposing side. What was accomplished in 5 sessions could easily have been done in 2.
