I am passionate about the practice of family law and I represent clients in all aspects of family law including complex family law litigation and negotiation. When I first meet my clients, they are typically going through some of the most challenging times in their personal lives: divorce, custody disputes, relocation, post-judgment issues or support issues. It is my goal to find resourceful and cost-effective solutions to their problems, with the least stress possible.
I have a deep love of families, which come in all shapes and sizes. I have always believed that families are the backbone of society, and that, for most people, their families are the most important thing on earth. That is why I got into Family Law.
As I work with my clients to make a plan of action, I always keep in mind that it is important to maintain and protect family relationships. At the end of a case, the family remains. Even when people are divorcing, if they have children, they are really creating two separate families that will forever be entwined through the lives and experiences of those children.
I am a strong believer in continuing legal education. I am constantly sharpening my skills and updating my knowledge of Maryland family law though a variety of continuing legal education courses including programs on topics such as family law practice updates, child counsel training, mediation, collaborative law, marital property, domestic violence, and international relocation and abduction.
I received my juris doctor from the George Washington University Law School and two Bachelor of the Arts degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to entering private practice, I completed a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Sherrie L. Krauser in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland.
I am licensed to practice law in Maryland and I am a member of the MontgomeryCounty and Maryland State Bar Associations.
