A Nightmare of an Attorney – Stay Far Away

iring Lin Delaney for my divorce was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. She failed to communicate key details, refused to provide transparency in her reasoning, and repeatedly avoided answering my questions. When I pushed for clarification, she became defensive and even threatened to drop my ...case unless I followed her strategy—one that led to an extremely unfavorable outcome. Her lack of professionalism was glaring. She was unresponsive, frequently missed deadlines, and was clearly distracted by personal matters while handling my case. The most damaging failure? She completely overlooked the fact that my ex-husband had not provided full financial disclosure. Instead of addressing this critical issue, she pressured me into settling rather than taking the case to court—causing serious financial consequences for me. After the divorce, another attorney reviewed my case and found multiple glaring errors. When I had previously questioned Lin about discrepancies in financial statements, she became hostile rather than addressing them. These were fundamental mistakes no competent attorney should make. Seeing her again recently reminded me of how disastrous my experience was. If you want an attorney who listens, communicates, and actually fights for your best interests, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
