Kevin Gauntt Barker

I represent developers, contractors, real estate investment trusts, property management companies, condominium associations, and property owners on a variety of litigation and business matters related to real estate, construction, commercial leasing, business transactions, contract disputes, and landlord and tenant law. I also maintain a general civil litigation practice and have represented clients in connection with professional malpractice claims, government contracts, employment law, and general torts. My practice encompasses both trial and appellate litigation.

I also have experience with both public and private internal investigations, where my practice focuses on sensitive matters of business and government. I have worked on independent counsel investigations and have acted as private counsel to businesses and individuals involved in investigatory probes.

Prior to joining Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, I served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert G. James, then-Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

I am licensed to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and New York.
