Jenny Wang in AnviCom

Joan S Claxton is an excellent attorney. My I-140 (EB2) was denied in Oct 2007 due to my prior attorney's poor job, then I asked for several famous Immigration lawyers to support me to appeal, but all of them rejected me because they all thought my case was hopeless, doomed from the beginning--a very... poor Application for Employment Certification. At last I came to Joan S Claxton in only 7 days left for the Appeal deadline, and she did the excellent job for me in Appeal. After 27 months waiting, Administrative Appeals Office (AAO) finally approved my I-140 in Feb 2010, and I received my green card in Jun 2010. I really don't know how to thank Joan enough. She is a great lawyer.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
