Christopher William Roberts

Christopher Roberts is a divorce attorney at Lerch, Early & Brewer in Bethesda, Maryland who represents clients in all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, custody, property, support and domestic violence matters. His goal is always the same: to help clients navigate through all stages of negotiation and litigation in a manner that serves their best interests as well as those of their children.

Chris is adept at identifying the issues that are most important to clients and to the success of their cases.  He is forceful in representing his clients' interests, while making the experience easier and less painful whenever possible.

Chris received his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and his bachelor of arts from James Madison University. He is admitted to practice in Maryland. Prior to joining Lerch Early, Chris practiced at a family law boutique firm in Montgomery County. During law school, Chris completed an internship with the Honorable Katherine D. Savage of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, and after law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. Dugan, Jr. of the same court.  Before becoming a lawyer, Chris was a high school English teacher in the Montgomery County Public School system.

Chris is an active member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, where he serves as co-chair of the Family Law section and on the executive and strategic planning committees. He is involved in various community service initiatives, including projects with Special Olympics and the Manna Food Center.

Chris was born and raised in Montgomery County, where he continues to reside with his wife and two young children.  Chris enjoys sports, including running, swimming, and basketball, and he is an avid reader of American history.
