Stanley A. Thompson

For more than a decade, Stanley Thompson has worked as an unwavering courtroom advocate bringing both fierce dedication and compassionate guidance to every case. An experienced trial attorney, he has handled hundreds of criminal matters ranging from traffic and DUI charges to serious felonies, including narcotics, sex offenses, robberies and homicides. Mr. Thompson began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender, first in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and later for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender where he represented individuals facing serious criminal charges.

Mr. Thompson is a Prince George’s County native and earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. He competed as a member of the Washington University Trial Team, winning numerous regional and national advocacy competitions including the National Institute for Trial Advocacy Tournament of Champions, and was recognized by his school’s faculty with the Judge John D. Calhoun Award for Excellence in Trial Practice. Mr. Thompson is a proud graduate of Howard University, where he earned his undergraduate degree with honors.
