Words cannot express how grateful I am to have found an attorney like Mr. Barrett regarding a family law matter! Mr. Barrett also has a sense of humor which I can appreciate. Dealing with a family law matter can be stressful enough so his witty banter helped take some of the edge off an already incredibly stressful time. He showed genuine care and concern for me and my children during the case and always offered suggestions for long term/bigger picture. Mr. Barret always made it a point to discuss options with me, explain the legal process in laymen’s terms and give me things to consider when attempting to settle the matter out of court. Mr. Barrett is extremely responsive and accessible. Mr. Barrett always took the time to answer and entertain my many questions and never did it begrudgingly. Even when Mr. Barrett and I may have disagreed on settlement terms he still took the stance of “I am here for you.” Mr. Barrett will truly advocate for his clients. This was evidenced by a situation in my case where I strongly opposed an issue, and Mr. Barrett had my back and let me know we stand together on this issue. Mr. Barrett is also financially fiscal without cutting corners. He is cognizant of the fact that litigation can be costly and will make sure his client’s get their money’s worth without exorbitant charges to the client. While I do not like that I had to meet Mr. Barrett under these circumstances, nevertheless I am glad to have found him and used him as my attorney. If I or someone else is ever in need of an attorney I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Barrett!

I am not sure where to even start as my experience with Mr. Barrett was truly one of a kind. I can say this with confidence because I work as a paralegal in a law firm that specializes in family law. I have also come across a lot of attorneys and have seen how they run their businesses. To be honest,... I was not prepared for the very human experience I was going to have with Mr. Barrett. Having practiced law in this field for more than two decades, you would expect him to be some level of jaded. It was the exact opposite and in this digital age I was surprised that such a human experience still exists in a law firm. He operates his business with no barrier between himself and clients. He is easy to get in contact with. He is honest. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to the law, leaving little room for mistakes or back and forth and the most important part, he doesn’t allow anything to blur the facts of the matter. I came to him with a very contentious case. He made no big promises, he was straightforward about where things may not go in my favor and prepared me in a manner that settled my concerns. My outcome was more than favorable. Would recommend to anyone and their momma.
