I has the great fortune of retaining Mr. Elira for a civil case against a neighbor (husband and wife) who rented their house to tenets who were absolutely terrible, kept propert dirty with vicious aggressive pitbulls whom they never cleaned up behind, and gang affiliated, which resulted in mice infe...station amongst other unfortunate circumstances. This is based on my experience on a landlord tenant issue. The attorney seemed to be engaged at the beginning of the case, but frequently came to court late, did not provide documents to the opposing party in a timely manner, never really took action time to understand the case and frequently made in...sinuations that this was taking up too much of his time for what I paid for. My perception was since I did not pay him enough the service he provided was all I was getting. He did towards the end get one of his assistants to sort out all of the information, but he failed to present it in a logical way. The judge was even fed up with him coming to court late and told me. When he walked in she was going to address it. All of these things resulted in me having to pay him and the loss of a court case. Please do your research thoroughly before choosing an attorney because if I would have read the reviews good and bad this absolutely would not have been an attorney I selected. Do your research before hiring. There are good attorneys out there but it takes time to find them.
