Great attorney who will fight for you

I met Ms. Rice when my divorce/custody case was in tatters. My previous attorney had mismanaged my case and accrued excessive fees. My visitation with my kids had been reduced, child support was beyond state guidelines, and I was stuck with other financial obligations. I was drowning financially and ...emotionally. It was as if my attorney was representing my ex's interests. Ms. Rice took up my case, set up an affordable payment plan and thoroughly reviewed my case. She immediately gave me advice on how I could manage the ridiculous financial obligations without jeopardizing my case and her strategies worked. She tried my case for 3 full days in addition to other court appearances, reviewed voluminous materials, for half the cost of my previous attorney. During trial, she was fearless and unrelenting in presenting evidence and witnesses to support my case. So much so that my ex-wife who had set herself up for alimony and attorney fees ended up badly exposed that she received none. In addition, she won me a substantial amount for a monetary award AND my visitation was more than doubled. Had I used Ms. Rice from the beginning of my case, I would have saved thousands of dollars in attorney fees and support orders and secured a better custody arrangement. I would highly recommend you hire Ms. Rice if you are ever in a similar situation. You can be sure that she will fight for you.

Jeanette Rice - Always there for you.

In 2012 my husband and I did not know where to turn. We had been struggling for quite a while with our finances and trying to meet our monthly obligations. In addition we were taking care of our son who had mental issues and sustained brain injury from an accident. We were getting calls from bill ...collectors and notices to appear in court for credit cards. Seeking help we called Anne Arundel Country to help us obtain legal advice. They referred us to Jeanette Rice. After speaking and meeting with her and hearing our options and her display of compassion for our situation, we decided to hire Jeanette Rice. She walked us through the entire process. My mentally disabled son died during this process, and we had to redo our documents. Jeanette was right there with us, holding our hand and leading us once again through the process. She told us the truth at all times and she did not hold anything back about what to expect. My husband and I were at our wits end, mentally distraught and emotional, but Jeanette Rice was very patient with us and helped us get to the end of the process. We are so thankful that we were referred to Jeanette Rice. Even today if we have any questions we just sent her an e-mail or phone her and she quickly responds. We are very grateful to Jeanette Rice for everything she did for us. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jeanette Rice to anyone who is seeking a competent and compassionate lawyer. She was a life saver for us.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
