Representing Defendants in Calvert, Charles, Annapolis, Prince George’s County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, and throughout MD.
At Piereck Law, LLC our job is to stand next to you in your hour of need and help you get your life back.
My name is Rick Piereck and I have defended people who have been charged with DUIs and crimes throughout Maryland.
My trial experience is extensive. I am in court in front of judges and juries almost every day of my working life. Criminal defense is about more than knowing the law; it's also about understanding people. Judges, prosecutors, lawyers, police, and defendants all bring variables that can alter the outcome of a criminal case.
I joined the US Army while still a senior in high school. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University, where I majored in Public Administration. I later attended the American University Washington College of Law where my concentration was litigation and advocacy.
During law school, I participated in the University’s renowned Clinical Program. During law school, I participated in internships with the Arlington County, Virginia public defender as well as with the Federal Department of Transportation and FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). I was admitted to the Maryland Bar in December of 2012.
Following law school, I served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael J. Stamm at the Circuit Court for St. Mary’s County, Maryland. As a law clerk, I was responsible for conducting legal research and drafting orders and opinions.
Before entering private practice, I spent over four years working as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Calvert County and Prince George’s County. I became a skilled trial lawyer by handling a variety of criminal and traffic cases for the State of Maryland. I have successfully handled countless DUIs, driving while suspended, assaults, drug possession, theft charges, domestic violence and many other cases involving possible incarceration.
In November of 2014, I successfully completed the Trial Advocacy Program sponsored by the Maryland State’s Attorneys Association. In March 2016, I successfully completed the DUI Institute for Prosecutors at the University of Maryland. In March 2017, I successfully completed the United States Secret Service National Computer Forensics Institute’s course on Computer Forensics In Court For Prosecutors. I now apply the skills learned to defend individuals charged with criminal offenses.
Piereck Law has a long history of successfully handling criminal cases. I know that if you are being prosecuted, it can be a tremendous burden and unbelievably stressful not just for you, but for your family and loved ones.
If you face criminal or DUI charges in the State of Maryland, contact Rick Piereck at as soon as possible.

Mr. Piereck became my attorney rather last minute to a very complicated case. The states attorneys office at the last minute decided to dismiss it, but Mr. Pierick was extremely helpful and informed on all of my options moving forward and as to why the states attorney’s office canceled. If I ever h...

Everything Mr. Piereck informed me happened just as he said it would from start to finish. I don't think I would have faired as well of I didn't contact his firm. This just my opinion but of you have a legal issue give him a call.

I am so glad I hired Rick for my 3rd DUI case. He was very honest and kept my best interest at heart. Without Rick I would have went to jail. I highly recommend his services.
