Excellent job. Honest counsel. Aggressive when needed.

Renee has done much work for me regarding child custody. She was honest and responsive. She gave fantastic strategic advice and was on par with her approach. Everyone in the firm was helpful and responsive. I would surely use her again.

Excellent Attorney!!

With over 33 years of experience, Renee's real estate/family law knowledge is impeccable! She handled two cases for me at the same time. One case was a divorce/custody issue and the other was a problem with my neighbor and their RV/parking issue. She won both cases! She made the neighbor back down im...mediately and now my neighbors have a new respect for me. The divorce/custody issue was handled with great professionalism. She is got me custody of my three kids and I got divorced without paying ridiculous arty fees! I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of an expirenced atty!

6.6? I'd say closer to 10

I had a short time and a pressing problem: A child was to be born and we were going to adopt her. With no experience in this area, I called Renee Lafayette. I left everything in her capable hands. And she handled everything superbly. God bless her.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Compassionate, knowledgeable and no-nonsense, Renee is one of the best family law lawyers I know, and is a credit to the legal profession. She has a reputation for not backing down, and is fearless when it comes to zealously representing her clients in court. That said, she also knows when it is appropriate to settle a case, and endeavors to obtain the best result possible for her clients. Her knowledge of family law is unparalled, and I routinely consult with her when confronted with an unusual situation in my practice."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
